World War III is well underway, both conventional wars—as in NATO vs Russia via Ukraine —and the West playing both sides of a battle between Israel, Iran, and their proxies. There is also a psychological war underway, one revealing the dark sword of tyranny.
This is war against the longstanding Western concept of free speech in many countries, including the U.S., Canada, and Great Britain. Misinformation and disinformation are the new enemies, concepts known only in the eyes of the bureaucratic beholder.
One person’s disinformation is another’s speaking truth to power. So who is the referee? Is it we, the people, or the administrative state?
This is the multifaceted war, including all things COVID, vaccinations, election integrity, crime statistics, mass migration, and climate hysteria. For a start, let us focus upon climate change, formerly known as ‘global warming’.
Climate warriors insist that the climate is changing. No one seriously opposes that premise. We have had ice ages burying the Midwest under a mile-thick sheet of ice, with the planet cooling enough to create these massive glaciers, followed by warming and melting periods. Palm trees and camels, now dotting the hot equatorial regions of our planet, once grew and lived in the ice-free Arctic. Greenland was actually green when the Vikings colonized it a millennium or so ago. Millions of years ago, there was no “man” to manufacture climate change. In fact, the modern form of humans, Homo Sapiens, appeared only 200k years ago; yet the climate was changing long before then. To quote the evil villain in the classic Hollywood comedy, “The Princess Pride”: “Inconceivable!!!”
Could it be that the climate is a bit more complex than modern pre-determined outcome models suggest?
Where are the fact checkers? And why are only a few brave scientists challenging climate dogmas?
Now we are treated to “hottest day” stories during our Indian Summer. Please spare us accusations of racism for using the word “Indian”; it is now verboten in public discourse, despite the fact that the Indian Act is the oldest Federal statute on the books in Canada, and both Brittanica and Wikipedia describe the term “Indian Summer.”
The Denver Post breathlessly exclaims “Mile Hight City ties 132 year old high temperature mark”. So what? A 132 year old record in sports might be noteworthy, but the Earth is nearly 5 Billion years old. Does the Denver Post know if there was a warmer late September day in Denver during the 1700s? Or the 700s? Or 2700 B.C.? Or 27 Million B.C.? The answer is of course rhetorical. The Post’s data only dates back to 1872. In depicting planetary phenomena, a much wider frame is required. In global terms, 132 years is a mere stitch in time.
What if we looked at a longer period of say, 485M years?
When not publishing slogans like “Democracy Dies In Darkness”, the leftist, Jeff Bezos
controlled Washington Post did just that. A recent headline declared that: “Scientists have captured Earth’s climate over the last 485 million years. Here’s the surprising place we stand now.”
Researchers reconstructed global mean surface temperature data assimilation, integrating geological data with climate model simulations. They discovered that “the Earth’s climate has varied more dynamically than previously thought.” Like all models, it is not perfect, but it at least passed the peer review process at the prestigious journal, Science.
According to this model, we are presently experiencing a small warming blip from the coldest planetary temperature in half a billion years. Earth’s temperature today is low, and weather this cold was last observed 300M years ago.
Time perspective here is vital. Over the last 20k years, temperatures have been relatively stable, and human global warming activities during that epoch were negligible. We see a slight warming trend only when the last 140 years are examined. Climate warriors base their entire global warming premise on a few decades of rising temperatures, ignoring the past 500M years, when temperatures fluctuated wildly absent human-induced warming activity. Even with the tiny rise of the past few decades, temperatures are still well below most of the past half-billion years.
Mankind was not around 300 million years ago, but we are somehow causing global warming today—according to many ‘climate scientists’. Indeed, according to the Washington Post story, “Modern humans appeared 50M years after falling temperatures that led to the coldest period recorded.”
Despite being a tropical species mostly congregating at or near the equator, it seems that humans thrive on a cooler planet, particularly the one we have now. Additionally, “Life on Earth has endured climates far hotter than the one people are now creating through planet- warming emissions.”
But what about CO2, another bogeyman hiding under the beds of eco-fanatics?
We start with the basic truth that C02 is the food of life. It is necessary to photosynthesis, the basic process by which plants turn light into energy to feed plants and animals. The CO2 Coalition notes that over the past 140M years, C02 levels have fallen to dangerously low levels. Current levels are within 30 parts per million (ppm) of the “line of death”—the limit for plant survival. Once C02 is below 150 ppm, plant life, and then all animal life, perishes.
Curiously, C02 levels have steadily declined over the past 140M years. During that time, temperatures fluctuated significantly, not correlating with C02 levels. What about 140M years ago? Around 300M years ago, C02 levels were quite low, near the survival threshold. During that same period, the Earth experienced the Karoo Ice Age. This seems hardly coincidental. Given present C02 levels, could we be headed for another ice age?
Despite C02 levels approaching the death zone, there is a concerted effort to reduce C02 further. This would be like giving a patient with lung disease, already struggling to breathe and maintain adequate blood oxygen levels, a respiratory depressant. According to the U.S. Geological Survey:
“Carbon dioxide is the most commonly produced greenhouse gas. Carbon sequestration is the process of capturing and storing atmospheric carbon dioxide. It is one method of reducing the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere with the goal of reducing global climate change.”
Not only is this a government effort, but it also a project of globalist oligarchs like Bill Gates. He launched a company “that could remove 5,000 tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere by year-end”. Gates plans to save the planet and humanity by driving C02 levels below the line of death.
How would that work, exactly, Bill? Killing off life on Earth to somehow save planet Earth? Save it for whom? And why?
Meanwhile, Asia continues to build thousands of new coal power plants. Does it really matter what we in the West will do to fight climate change? Even if we moved the UK or Germany back to the Middle Ages, as nihilist freaks like Gates dream, it would have barely any impact upon climate.
Here is one more ‘follow the science’ tidbit from Nature’s Journal, “Communications Earth & Environment”, which looked at surface temperatures over the past two centuries and found that:
“Our results show limited evidence for a warming surge; in most surface temperature time series, no change in the warming rate beyond the 1970s is detected despite the breathing record temperatures observed in 2023.”
In other words, brief periods of warming or cooling are more likely to be caused by short- term variability due to solar or oceanic cycles than any long-term trends. The bottom-line is that Earth is currently in a long and deep cold period that began 50M years ago. Small upticks in the steady decline are normal, including the one we are experiencing now. The current rise has far to go, meaning 20 degrees Celsius higher to be near planetary highs over the past 500M years.
C02 levels correlate poorly, if at all, with global temperatures. Given that C02 is plant food and ultimately animal food, & that we are currently at the lowest C02 levels in 140M years, efforts to further lower C02 levels represent an existential threat to life on Earth; yet this is the very goal of the environmental elites.
The climate is no doubt changing. It always has and always will. As Heraclitus once noted:
Temperatures are likely to rise from their current 500M year low, regardless of what Bill Gates, John Kerry, Greta Thunberg, Justin Trudeau, or any world government agency says or does. These people have the hubris to believe that they can influence or matters beyond their comprehension. In their attempts to regulate and tinker with Mother Nature, they may ironically destroy all that they claim to be saving.
Or this that all part of the plan?
To believe in the climate change hoax, we are expected to believe 5 palpably untrue things. First, that C02 is the ‘control knob’ for the climate. This is ridiculous. C02 makes up only about .04% of the atmosphere, while 96-99% of the atmosphere is oxygen and nitrogen. Water vapour, a much larger determinant of temperature, varies from 1-4%; but what determines temperature more than anything else? Changes in Earth’s solar orbit, obviously. NASA has admitted this.
Second, that C02 is harmful. Rubbish. C02 is plant food. We inhale oxygen and exhale C02. Plants do the reverse. It is scientific fact that higher levels of C02 lead to greater plant growth. This is essential if we are going to continue to be able to feed an increasing world population and is one of the reasons why the planet now supports over 8B people.
Third, that we are at historically high levels of C02 in the atmosphere. Again, hogwash. We are actually at historically low levels of C02. Prior to the Industrial Revolution—the seminal starting point for climate hysteria cited by climate zealots—the amount of C02 in the atmosphere was approximately 290 ppm. Plant life begins to die at 150 ppm. The amount of C02 currently in the atmosphere is roughly 420 ppm. But is this historically high? Hardly; during the epoch of the dinosaurs, cold blooded reptiles consumed massive volumes of vegetation; they perished when the earth cooled, C02 levels were roughly 3600 ppm. This created the Jurassic conditions enabling dinosaurs to flourish, roaming the planet for many millions of years.
Did dinosaurs drive larger SUVs than the ones we now own? What caused C02 levels to reach such heights eons ago? It certainly was not us. It occurred, as always, due to solar cycles—which NASA has also admitted.
The data clearly establishes that there has always been a cycle to C02, long before man’s industrial age. This is data that governments must hide. So long as they can pretend C02 levels never rose before 1950, then they can tax the air and claim that it prevents climate change. Moreover, while we can clean the air with regulation, as we have done, they license ‘credits’ to pollute as long as we pay the government. It is the ultimate scam where they get to tax pollution and people cheer rather than clean up anything. Then there is the predatory carbon credit trading market, on which ultra high net worth barons make vast fortunes speculating on the price of carbon set by governments.
The more accurate way to describe our current C02 situation is that we are experiencing a C02 famine that could lead to the extinction of plant life. According to Princeton Professor Emeritus Dr. William Happer, we are in a C02 famine now, and more of it is good for the world.
Fourth, it is silly to create government policies based upon future hypotheticals and natural processes. Does it make sense for anyone to base policy and spend billions speculating upon what could happen in the future? Are there not infinite possibilities about what could happen?
The odds of predicting climate correctly are much worse than winning the lottery. Who in their right mind believes that any person or computer model can predict the future? Anybody that does should be asked if they are willing to bet their life savings on it. Furthermore, if somebody really were able to predict the future, would they forecast the weather? Or would they instead forecast stock market and individual equity moves, or even lottery numbers?
The conclusion: any attempt to prophesy the future is a guess. Wildly inaccurate models are not science—they are science fiction. Nobody and nothing can predict even next week’s weather accurately due to the millions of atmospheric and stellar variables. This is so obvious that we still must guess the path and severity of hurricanes—even after they are formed.
Finally, if we cannot even forecast the weather, then how on earth can we expect to control it? If you still believe that C02 is the weather control knob, that it is harmful, that we are at historically high levels, and that governments or global organizations can predict the weather, then pray tell—how would they go about controlling it?
If the U.S. government could control the weather, then why did it not stop Helene in September of 2024 or Milton in October? That would have avoided all of the resulting destruction, costs, and clean up. NASA and the National Weather Service were similarly impotent. Governments in Canada and the U.S. cannot even stop illegals from entering our borders, let alone do anything to stop modest changes in atmospheric C02 levels.
Let us say that you remain at this point a ‘true believer’ in manufactured climate change. Do you really trust that pathological liars in government can control enough of the weather on our side of the planet to offset massive industrial activity in Asia, where China erects a new coal-fired power planet every week? What if a volcano erupts? What then? What about massive emissions from Elon Musk’s self-landing rockets engines?
We hear that misinformation is wrong information, disinformation is deliberate wrong information, and malinformation—a newly coined Orwellian term that has not yet weaved itself into our lexicon—is true information opposing the regime narrative and therefore is ‘harmful’.
For example, the statement that ‘Justin Trudeau is a popular Prime Minister’—is clearly misinformation. The many scandals leading to multiple Parliamentary ethics violations and foreign interference investigations are true, but run counter to the Trudeau narrative, and so were suppressed as malinformation.
Disinformation is a powerful tool for aspiring tyrants. Those who practice disinformation dark arts wield a dual edged sword. With one edge the government apparatchiks accuse their critics and opponents of spreading harmful disinformation, and use their considerable might to censor and punish dissent. Much as the term ‘hate speech’ opens the door to suppression of free speech, disinformation is the skeleton key of modern domestic propaganda and censorship. With it, the regime can target political movements, specific politicians, and prominent voices on the grounds that they are influenced by or in thrall to foreign ‘disinformation’. The goal is consensus. Silencing all opposing views creates by default an apparent unity of thought. The climate change crisis is a prime example of censorship creating false consensus.
The grain of truth is that the effective techniques of disinformation were honed by state intelligence branches in foreign arenas, against other governments and peoples. However, branding parents who talk at school board meetings, Catholics who pray with rosary beads, pro-life protesters, and those who disagree with transmania, vaccines, climate hysteria, or proxy wars, as guilty of collaborating with foreign interests, is beyond the pale.
In the age of disinformation, words are used by government directly to push false narratives. The direct assertion of lies requires more coordinated support, especially from the media. A prime example are safe and effective vaccines. No one in government speaks of these— because the government never lies to us, right?
Broadly propagating falsity is a form of pure force attack: the lie is replicated many thousands of times on hundreds of channels until it crystallizes as fact in the minds of the target audience. The sometimes hidden, sometimes overt, conspiracy of academics, journalists, and public intellectuals to push the regime backed political line is justified as a necessary counterbalance to all ‘disinformation’ narratives. Anyone can use this double- edged attack on truth, but the government has an overwhelming advantage because it controls regulation, police, and the courts, which together provide tremendous force and leverage that no outsider can match. The talk is always about threats, but the real threat to regime power is dissent. As the great propagandist Edward Bernhays once noted, “propaganda is the executive arm of government”.
Governments in the U.S. and Canada now routinely issue secret keyword warrants to Google for anyone who searches certain phrases and names, allowing police and other spy agencies to dig through Google’s search history database to identify innocent people, merely based upon what they might have searched. They use such data to justify further intrusions— despite the complete violation of Constitutional privacy protections.
The July 2021 Guardian article with the headline “Majority of COVID misinformation came from 12 people, report finds”, claimed that a dozen villains were responsible for COVID lies and the vax, much of the pandemic, and many deaths. The Disinformation Dozen was created by the Center for Countering Digital Hate, a leftist censorship NGO based in the UK, with ties to the British and U.S. governments. It created talking points for use by governments and their shills, and echoed by all of the mainstream media.
Today, we know that COVID came from a gain-of-function lab, that lockdowns and masks did not work, that the vaccines were neither safe or effective, and that they are still causing great harm and death. Far from the villains they were made out to be, the so-called Disinformation Dozen are consummate professionals who were simply telling us the truth. That did not protect them from censorship, destruction of their careers, or ostracism from general society as crazy conspiracy theorists pushing disinformation.
European governments now lead the disinformation charge, arresting dissenters under vague and arbitrary hate speech laws that are thinly veiled censorship decrees, allowing them to quash dissent and criticism. The EU has demanded that X censor content or face prosecution. France arrested the Telegram founder for refusing to comply with their censorial dictates.
Canada and the U.S. are not far behind. They have pressured social media companies to remove content deemed disinformation, including posts from accounts originating within their borders. Accomplishing the dark days of tyranny requires trickery. Trick number one: redefine democracy not as the people choosing their government, but instead as the government institutions themselves. When you hear politicians bleating about their opponents being a threat to democracy, they are attacking the actual exercise of democracy.
Trick number two: declare broad areas of society, like the internet and elections, to be part of national security. This gives the federal government the immediate right to interfere using censorship, surveillance, or even prosecution, all in the name of protecting national security.
Trick number three: confuse the subject of information with terms like misinformation, disinformation, malinformation, and hate speech. Redefining the very words used is part of the disinformation campaign.
The darkest deed of any tyranny is claiming its own lies are truth, and dissenting voices to be liars. Disinformation, misinformation, and malinformation from a shapeless, shifting bog beneath government disinformation policy; it threatens to pull anyone under who might fall into disfavour with the ruling regime. Censoring what you do not like to hear is the end of free speech and the death of a free society. Once the regime narrative is completely devoid of truth, no one is safe.
What is true for you is what you have observed. No government can be the arbiter of truth, nor can it censor its way to the truth. The only solution is more free speech, and one by one, removing those from power who insist upon silencing truth tellers. Societies ruled by brutal, unrelenting persons with unlimited power, whatever the pseudo legitimate ideology, project the megalomania of the individual at the top and are likely to adopt bullying behaviour. Depending upon the human decency of such tyrants is a grave mistake. On the contrary, they are human predators behaving like wolves amongst sheep.
The opposite of appeasement is a show of resilience, vigorously defending freedom, justice, and peace at the same time. Western tolerance and openness to dissent must never be confused with doubts about fundamental values. Loyalty to civilization is essential. In order to properly serve humanity, liberal democracies must believe in themselves, be strong, and prepare for war. In the wise words of a wise Christian Roman Emperor:
“If you want peace, prepare for war.” —Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus.
